International Registry of
Cardiogenic Shock
SHOCK REGISTRY is a prospective international multicenter registry of cardiogenic shock (CS), which will across at least 50 cardiac centers around the world
Cardiogenic shock is a high-risk clinical condition with a probability of in-hospital death of up to 40%. In recent decades, the overall survival of patients with CS has improved only minimally.
There is only minimal epidemiologic data from multicenter registries dedicated to this clinical entity. One of them is the French multicenter FRENSCHOCK registry from 2016, and currently only the cardiogenic shock registry in the USA is recruiting. There has never been an International study that would describe the temporal trends of epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and their results in patients with cardiogenic shock.
Aims of the registry
Better understanding of diagnostic procedures and treatment approach on survival of patients with cardiogenic shock around the world.
To obtain data on the local utilization and effect of mechanical assist devices in the treatment of cardiogenic shock.
Study of temporal trends in epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and outcomes in patients with cardiogenic shock across specialized centers around the world.
Creating an effective longitudinal research infrastructure for future pragmatic clinical trials and other scientific research purposes.
Utilization and implementation of the obtained data on the diagnosis and treatment of cardiogenic shock with the aim of prolonging the survival of patients with CS.
